  • The B767 climbed to its cruising altitude of 41,000 feet and the first hour of flight was straightforward for the experienced flight crew. The two pilots were shocked to see cockpit instruments warning of low fuel pressure in the left fuel pump. At first they thought it was a fuel pump failure.
